After a gruelling day trying to understand what has gone on here in Cambodia it was lovely to see the beautiful traditional dancing at the National Museum. We must never forget what happened here with 338 killing centres all over Cambodia murdering over 2 million people in the Khmer Rouge genocide from 1975 to 1979. We visited the S21 torture centre in Phnom Penh then the killing fields about 15 kms away. Very shocking but the truth of what the Cambodian people have been through must be known. We then visited a hospital started by young volunteer doctors to help the very poor who have no access to medical care. The traditional dancing was exquisite and revealed the proud and ancient culture of the Khmer people.
